Hi there,
I have purchased the pro version and it’s the latest version, also my windows is the latest version as well. Thanks for this great product.
I just noticed a bug here: Spyshelter doesn’t hide the current working window and the taskbar from the screenshot. It only hides (black outs) the desktop and other open windows that the user is not working with.
Please help!
Thanks
Update: I’m sure it wasn’t working. I did take a picture, which shows the current window but the rest is hidden (blacked out), so it wasn’t working, but now it does. I was using LinkedIn installed app, Chrome, and File Explorer, but Brave was hidden at the same time they weren’t. Please check the dependencies.
Update: I just ran the Copilot app and it happened again, the current working window and some other open windows can be seen while the desktop is hidden, also the taskbar is in the picture.
My conclusion: It’s an on-and-off situation, sometimes the screenshot is full-screen black, and sometimes the current and other windows and the taskbar appear in the picture. Maybe it’s controlled remotely, I don’t know, I have antivirus and firewall as well.
Thanks.

Sorry for the issue. To help us recreate and solve the problem, please provide this information:
- What Windows OS version do you use?
- What method do you use to take the screenshot?
- Please double check you use the latest SpyShelter. We just released an update a few days ago. X.898 Go to the top right menu and choose “About”.
- Could you explain what you are doing step by step? For example “first I launch Copilot, then I open Brave, then I take a screenshot using the keyboard command X” etc…
Thanks for your help so we can investigate and solve this.
Thanks for the reply. Sure:
- Windows 11 Pro, version: 24H2
- Print screen or sometimes Shift + windows key + s.
- It’s the latest version X.898, it says “already up to date”.
- Sure: "First I launched Firefox then File Explorer, Brave, PyCharm, Chrome, and Copilot in order, then I took the screenshot using the print screen key on the keyboard.
- Also it’s vulnerable to on-screen pop-up notifications like the ones my antivirus provides, I mean after that notification showed up I took the picture, the whole screen was black but just that notification was in the picture.
