Spyshelter Classic Premium not working for Windows 11 24H2

Hey, i was running Windows 10 with Spyshelter Firewall, and i Updated to Windows 11 24H2, I downloaded Spyshelter, which worked fine, when i tryed to activate it, it told me I need to download Spyshelter Classic. Clicking on the Download link it showed, I ended up downloading non Classic again (wrong link). So I had to look up Downloads for Classic myself.

After finally downloading latest Spyshelter Premium (Classic), i end up with a non working Spyshelter as the Driver cannot be loaded.

Any Update/Fix for this ?

Sorry for the issue. Microsoft has made changes to the latest Windows versions where the Classic software driver can’t seem to load. To solve the issue you can:

  1. Download SpyShelter from www.spyshelter.com and use that.
  2. Downgrade Windows to the previous version that doesn’t have this issue.

You could also file a report with Microsoft and they may consider making changes in the future that could allow our Classic software to work again.

BTW, do you know on which version of Windows 11, SpyShelter Firewall 12 still works? I’m planning to buy a new laptop, and I would like to continue to use SpyShelter Firewall 12.3, since it offers more protection than SS 15 if I’m correct.

I’m not sure. SpyShelter was taken over by new management and the new management could not take over that particular Firewall software.

We’ve found a lot of the old SpyShelter features don’t work at all in modern Windows so we don’t recommend using any versions of SpyShelter besides the version on our homepage.

I doubt that the software you’re asking about still works, or even worse… it appears to work and actually doesn’t… :grimacing:

OK cool, then I probably misunderstood the first post. It’s indeed quite unlikely that SS Firewall 12 will work on any version of Windows 11, so I will have to switch to the new SS 15.
