Screenshot: The protection is not working.

Windows 10, took a screenshot even if protection is enabled, this has never happened before. If you disable and enable protection, it works, but this should not be the case.

Sorry for the issue. We will investigate and try to reproduce this.

When you say “Windows 10 took a screenshot” can you give more details on what happened exactly?

Hello,

Right now I can’t reproduce the issue. I first noticed the bug by accident, I needed to take a screenshot, and it worked. At first, I thought I had accidentally disabled the screenshot lock, but then I checked and saw that it was still enabled, yet screenshots were still being taken (I shared one earlier). This went on for a few days. At the moment, everything seems to be working fine. I’ll try to reproduce the bug within the next two weeks. If I can’t, feel free to close the thread.

By the way, is it possible to contact you by email after the thread is closed, in case the issue happens again?

I managed to reproduce the issue. I launched Cursor, it ran a small Python web parsing script to monitor wristwatch prices and after that, screenshots started appearing while protection was enabled. However, the screenshots only captured some running applications, like the browser, any open folder, the calculator, or SpyShelter itself. The desktop with icons is protected, but there’s nothing interesting there anyway. I remembered that last time Cursor was also running when this happened. By the way, I didn’t lower the security level in SpyShelter, and I don’t use or test any malicious software.

Hello,
if you wish, while waiting for the SpyShelter team to resolve the issue, you can install ScreenWings. It is a freeware single executable file, and I have been using it for some time. Anyway it’s only downloadable from MajorGeeks website, not anymore from ScreenWings official website.

Download ScreenWings - MajorGeeks (Download@MajorGeeks)

no, only SpyShelter!

Thanks for your report, we will try to reproduce/solve this issue.

If by that you mean the AI coder, it determined it doesn’t want you running an anti-screenshot. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
