Licensing discussions aside, v15 works A-OK in Windows 10.
True about v12.9 and I’ve always considered v14 to be v12.10. ![]()

The problem is that it’s not Datpol anymore (from Poland) who is developing SpyShelter. It’s a new US based company, so that’s why your lifetime license is only valid for SS 14. I guess Datpol should have communicated this.
You can’t help this customer, because he disagrees with your policies. I think it should be mentioned on your website, that the lifetime licenses for SS 14 are not valid for SS 15, and also explain why, this is to avoid confusion.
It depends on what Windows version you’re using, I can’t get SS 15 to work on Windows 10 1909. SS 12 works just fine, but I also had problems with SS 14.
Where can I download v.12.8 and v12.9?
Thank you.
Click “Help” then “Classic SpyShelter Apps” (left side) from the home page.
Thanks for your reply, but this link doesn’t allow me to select different versions. It only downloads v.14.
I want to be able to choose v12.8 and v.12.9.
I apologize for any confusion. I should have just posted this direct link.
Thanks for your response. I know this URL can be used to download SpyShelter Premium, but it can only download v.14. There is no other option to choose v.12.8 or v12.9.
OK, now I get it. We don’t host every old build of our software due to known bugs and issues with those older versions. We host the final most stable versions only.
Thank you for your response. However, if possible, I hope you can put other old versions on the website in the future.
I will share your comments with our team. I think the reason we don’t do that is because the older versions could have bugs or other unexpected issues that were fixed.
Thanks. By the way, the reason why I wanted to download v12.8 and v12.9 is because I had some problems running version 14, so I wanted to test it on the older versions.
To be honest, I just saw in some older thread in another forum, that certain people who owned a lifetime license for SS Classic (version 12 and 14), received a lifetime license for SS 15 free of charge. I wonder what’s up with that, is it because they helped with the beta test, or did the policy change? ![]()
Yes, it’s true we gave beta testers some licenses for free a long time ago before it went live.
OK I see, I believe that’s why certain people on this forum might have been upset a bit. But this should be made more clear, to avoid confusion.
And BTW, there is definitely something wrong with the forum, the quoted text seems to disappear, at least on my system. I’m using Vivaldi 7.3 on Windows 10, adblocker disabled. ![]()
