Hello,
I’m using G Data antivirus and i’ve just installed Spyshelter trial for testing purposes. However, Spyshelter shows and notifies that all G Data processes are unsigned. I think all the G Data processes are signed. Is this some kind of a bug OR am i doing something wrong?
Sorry for the issue.
- Click the icon for one of these executables while on the Activity tab. A drawer will appear on the right side of SpyShelter.
- Click the “Path” link. SpyShelter will open the window where the executable lives, then highlight it. Right click it and choose “properties”.
- Choose the “Digital Signatures” tab. Can you tell me what you see? Also, be sure and check the timestamp.
Does your PC have the correct current date/time? I say that because it looks like in SpyShelter it shows today as 2029? If so, that could be causing the problem because then the signature could be very expired, or it could cause some other unexpected issue.
Yes, but G Data process are signed, why Spyshelter flags G Data processes as untrusted?
Because your computer date and time is set to 2029, so SpyShelter thinks there is a problem with the certificate that signs G Data Security.
I believe if you change the time to the correct date/time, then reboot, then SpyShelter should not have this issue anymore. If I am mistaken please let me know so we can keep investigating and solve this for you.
