My posts on this forum don't show up?

Well, you guys still offer file/folder protection right? The only thing that SS 15 is missing, is a network monitor/firewall, this can also stop a lot of infostealers and keyloggers. BTW, it’s getting a bit annoying, once again one of my posts needed approval in another thread.

What I said in the post is that I wondered if Jon Hundley perhaps signed an agreement with his former company (GlassWire) that he couldn’t directly compete with them? Because I noticed that SpyShelter offers none of GlassWire’s features when it comes to network protection, while it does make sense to add some of them, if your goal is to protect againt spyware.

Once again one of my posts is waiting for moderator approval, I have never seen anything like this on another forum before. I mean, what about my reputation on this forum, doesn’t it count?

Sorry for the issue. It’s done by the forum itself, we can’t block a post before it posts or we’d be sitting here all day. I will ask the admin to check it. I apologize.

It’s you that should be in charge, not the forum software, know what I mean?

Also, quotes keep getting removed too. This forum software is quite buggy!

It’s over here: Major SpyShelter announcement: Keyboard encryption is dead, long live keyboard encryption - #189 by SpyShelterCarl

Has the admin already looked at it?

Actually, aren’t you in fact the admin who can approve posts?

Sorry for the confusion. The forum itself prevents posts before they post and yes I can approve it, but I should not approve something myself without asking.

This is indeed confusing, you need to ask it to whom? And why has the post still not been approved? You see how strange this looks?

Yes, sorry for the issue. You can search the forum and see this issue is not normal or common, so it’s something new that happened with your post. I apologize.

But you didn’t answer my question about why my post still hasn’t been approved after 4 days? Are you saying I should remove it, and post it again?

Also, once again the issue with disappearing quotes has resurfaced. So if I quote someone, and then post my reply, the quoted text will disappear automatically for some reason, and then I have to manually cut and paste the quote, is there something wrong with this forum, or what?

Maybe they just stopped updating our version or something. I noticed with the AppControl forum that when we set it up it had all these crazy extra options that didn’t exist before. For example people can logon with so many different options now. I will see if there is some way to do a FULL upgrade, but maybe we are just stuck with this older version.

When we go to our settings here it shows it as fully upgraded.

With all due respect, you still didn’t explain why my post hasn’t been approved. Can you even see the post that I made?

And yes, there is something seriously wrong with the forum software, because the issue with the disappearing quotes is annoying as hell. But there is a workaround, if you choose Copy Quote, you can manually paste the quote, should have thought of this sooner. :face_with_bags_under_eyes:

I think it’s because you mention another project we don’t work on or cannot comment on since we have no involvement. We only work on SpyShelter/AppControl projects if you wouldn’t mind sticking to those. Thanks!

That must be it, because all of a sudden I can post again in that thread. But why I mentioned those tools is to make a point, namely that those tools work just fine on Win 10 1909. Also, the Copy Quote workaround doesn’t always seem to work, this forumsoftware is a disaster.

What other options are out there that are free? We will see what options are available, thanks.

Our admin has done a major software update on the forum.

It seems to have fixed the bug with the quoting system, and the forum feels snappier.

EDIT: you won’t believe it, but the quote disappeared once again, so it’s not completely fixed.

I found these ones:

You guys seem to use Discourse, right?

Yes, we use Discourse.

Absolutely horrible software, forget about what I said about the quoting problem being fixed, and about being more snappy. It still uses quite a lot of CPU time when you open topics in the background. :face_with_bags_under_eyes:
